A number of Coptic brothers began breaking their silence as Shubra resident Milad Magdy announced his refusal of the church’s imposing of its political will on him to vote for Ahmed Shafiq.

He confirmed in a Facebook post that he had been contacted by Church official telling him that the Church suggest he choose Ahmed Shafiq, but he refused it, describing it as unacceptable and explaining that it had happed earlier in People’s Assembly elections.

He announced his readiness for any legal action, emphasizing his complete rejection of Church’s, or that of any religious establishment, involvement in politics, whether a church or a mosque.
